Meander, a tranquil sound walk tailored for the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, offers a reflective journey into nature’s embrace, crafted by artists Joseph White and Gelsey Bell. Known for their past work on Cairns, which made the New York Times “Best Theater of 2020” list, this experience uses immersive audio to draw participants into a meditative exploration of the garden’s lush surroundings. Ideal with headphones, Meander invites you to disconnect, set your device to “do not disturb,” and synchronize with the gentle pace of nature, whether you’re wandering the garden paths or tuning in from afar. This peaceful experience is a collaborative presentation with HERE Arts Residency Program, blending the beauty of botanic settings with thoughtfully composed sounds that encourage a deeper engagement with the environment.
